This is part 2 of a 4 part series on moving from average to AWESOME.

Your intention is different than your direction.

I recently read an article written by a NYPS donor that talked about how ” unapologetically black was the new black”. What he was saying, at least what I took from it, was that just because you say Black Lives Matter on every social media post, doesn’t mean you are actually helping the cause if behind the scenes you are doing things in everyday life that prove you don’t really feel ALL black lives matter. He calls it social theatre in his article.

temp-post-image The point is this: If you want to move from being average in life, and start the path to being awesome, not only do you have to start keeping your word as we said in part 1, but you also have to know that actions speak louder than words.

Stop saying you are going to do something and simply start doing it.

Or shut up.

It’s the same as joining an organization fighting to end breast cancer, but never showing up for any of the meetings, participating in the events -or even knowing what is going on in the world of breast cancer prevention. Just having your name on the roster serves you. Makes you feel better. It isn’t actually helping the cause.

Imagine if everyone did that. Nothing would get done.

You can have the best intentions in the world, but intentions have never solved anything – only actions have. Follow through on your intentions with some action today!
